Jenaro (aka Jerry) Sanchez Jaramillo, 91, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Lund Home Hospice in Gilbert, AZ. He was a current resident of Queen Valley, AZ and had resided in the Mimbres Valley, NM, for 20 years and Montebello, CA for 28 years.

He was born in Spur, TX to Tomas and Maria Jaramillo, six brothers and one sister. Jerry served in the United States Army, Company F of the 27th Infantry. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, Army of Occupation Ribbon (Japan) and Victory Ribbon. He was a lifelong member of the VFW, Post 3347 in Arenas Valley, NM.

He was also a member of the Teamsters, he always held out hope that Jimmy Huffa would be found alive and well.

He loved football, basketball, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, watching John Wayne movies and going to the casino; but his favorite hobby was Western dancing and music.

Jerry was loved and cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. His beautiful smile will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Angela (aka Eva) Gomez Jaramillo; brothers, Joe Jaramillo and Olegario Jaramillo; sons, Jenaro (Laura) Jaramillo, Gabriel Jaramillo, Vincent (Beth) Jaramillo; daughters, Matilda (James) Smith, Yvonne (Albert) Castro, Janice (Daniel) Mavaridis, Leticia Valdez; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15 from 10:30-11:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:30am with Father Roberto Barreto officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Jaramillo Jr., Gregory and Zachary Jaramillo, Francisco Fuentes Jr. and Joseph Fuentes, Josh Yubeta, Gabriel Castro and Andres Toress.
