Alfredo Zapata Sandoval 84 of El Paso, Texas and formerly of Silver City, NM passed away January, 05, 2016 in El Paso, Tx.

Alfredo was born in Mimbres Valley, NM on October 1931. His parents were Mike Sandoval and Romana Zapata.

Alfredo was an Air Force Veteran who assisted during the Korean War. He lived around the mining district and was an underground miner.

He later moved to El Paso, TX where he worked for William Beaumont and lived for 45 years. He was a hard worker who enjoyed playing guitar and gatherings with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Dolores "Lola" Sandoval, a grandson David Geary of Colorado, and several other family members.

A Visitation will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 3:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Hurley, NM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10:00am with Father Roberto Barreto officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date by family.
