Margarita H. Torres, 79, Deming resident passed away Sunday January 24, 2016 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Margarita was born May 5, 1936 in Palomas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Maria del Refugio Villalobos and Jesus Hernandez. She was a homemaker and a Deming resident for 20 years coming from Tucson, Arizona. Margarita was a member of the New Apostolic Church.

Survivors include her son, Manuel Paez and wife Vita of Palomas; 7 daughters, Sandra Garcia and husband Francisco of Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico, Blanca Ramirez and husband Reynaldo, Magdalena Paez, Carmen Giron and husband Jose, Rosie Salcido and husband Ernesto, Araceli Paez, Cecilia Paez all of Deming; 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Hernandez and her husband, Pablo M. Torres.

Pallbearers will be Andres Duran, Joey Giron, Ernesto Salcido Jr., Daniel Castro, Miguel Angel Paez and Alex Salcido.

Visitation will begin Thursday afternoon January 28, 2016 at 5 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel with an evening service at 6 o'clock. The funeral service will be Friday afternoon January 29, 2016 at 2 o'clock at the New Apostolic Church with Pastor Jose Ramirez officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
