Fred Grelle RSErnest "Fred" Grelle, age 76, of Fowler, Colorado passed on to be with our loving creator Jesus Christ, Sunday January 24, 2016, at Collinwood Care Center in Plano, Texas, after complications from a heart attack suffered on Dec 25th.

Ernest "Fred" was born April 13, 1939 in San Angelo, Texas.

He graduated from Iraan High School in 1957 and attended Texas Western College. He was a master plumber, pipefitter, welder, and gunsmith, he was also skilled in many other trades and loved to work with his hands.

He enjoyed being in the mountains and loved to hunt and fish.

He had his own welding business in Alamosa, Colorado where he raised his family until 1984. He continued to live and work in Colorado in the mechanical trades up to his retirement in 2002.

After retiring he continued to enjoy hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He returned to Texas in 2015.

He was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his sons Jeff and wife Janie Grelle, Frank and wife Angela Grelle and four grandchildren Christina, Joshua, Jeramiah and Hunter. He is also survived by Brothers Louis Grelle, Nibby and wife Myra Grelle, and Sister Janice Richardson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by sons Nathan and Allen, parents Ernest and Pauline Grelle, and brother Neal Grelle.

The Graveside funeral service will be Friday morning January 29, 2016 at 10 o'clock at Mountain View Cemetery.
