Albert Placencio RSAlbert G. Placencio, 64, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, January 31, 2016 at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX.

He was born June 17, 1951 in Santa Clara, NM to Albert O. Placencio and Adela D. Gomez.

He worked and retired from Phelps Dodge as a Mill Repairman. He loved fishing, singing and playing his guitar. He was known for being ornery and loved to make people laugh. Last but not least he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Berlinda A. Placencio of the family home; two sons, Gary R. Placencio of Bayard; Albert R. Placencio III and companion Mandy of Bayard; three daughters, Geraldine R. Placencio of Albuquerque; Sharon P. Dominguez and husband Paul of Silver City; Desiree P. Cohn and husband Patrick of Silver City; nineteen grandchildren, Robert Tafoya, Jesse Schroeder, Anthony Barrios, Gary Placencio Jr., Cruz Placencio, Elemayne McNett, Albert, Trinity and Pauline Dominguez, Anastasia and Jesus Placencio, Ezmiah P., Tristian, Belder and Al Cohn, Andres, Sabrina, Selena and April Vigil; four great-grandchildren, Aiden Schroeder, Cruz Placencio Jr., Justin Paul McNett and Bently Tafoya; three sisters, Zenaida "Sandy" P. Tully and husband David of Henderson, NV; Yolanda Placencio and companion Joshua of Edmund, OK; Hope P. Rodarte and husband Chuck of Henderson, NV.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Vigil; four brothers, Norbert G. Placencio, Manuel G. Placencio, Joseph G. Placencio and Zack G. Placencio; two sisters, Julia P. Castillo and Ruby Araiza; one niece, Monica "Nena" Castillo.

Visitation will be Monday, February 8 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting.

The funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 9 at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Deacon Richard Rodriguez reciting. Private burial will be at Hurley Catholic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Belder Cohn, Patrick Cohn Jr., Gary Placencio, Albert Placencio III, Albert Dominguez and Eugene Kirker. Honorary pallbearers will be David Goetz, Robert Tafoya, Elmo Amador, Charles Marsh and Al P. Cohn. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
