Philip Gregory Waier, 78, Deming resident passed away Thursday May 12, 2016 at his home after battling heart disease.

Phillip was born April 19, 1938 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to Clara Rose Marie Kowalski and Erwin Paul Waier.

He worked as an accountant at General Dynamics.

Phillip was a Deming resident for over 20 years coming from San Diego, California.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where he served in the parish council. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years.

He loved working on his ranchette property in the hot New Mexico desert.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Waier of the home; 2 sons, Stephen Waier of Deming, Jeffrey Waier of Tucson, Arizona; 2 daughters, Elizabeth zuHone and husband Mark of San Diego, Mary Catherine Neto and husband Luis of West Jordan, Utah; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Clara Rose Marie Waier and a brother, Gerald A. Waier.

No local services will be held here. Memorial service will be held in San Diego, California. Cremation will take place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
