Oliver G "Pooch" Dodson was born in Miami, AZ Aug 29, 1930 and entered eternal rest on May 15, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen; a daughter and son-in-law Georgelen and John Turnbull of Loveland, CO; a son and daughter-in-law Casey and Cheryl Dodson of Deming, NM; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Martin and Patrick Dodson, his father and mother, a sister and 2 brothers.

Pooch had many jobs during his life but is probably best known as the owner/manager of Southwest Transit Mix.

He was involved with the Masonic Lodge for many years and was a veteran of the US Navy. His many interests include golf, trap and skeet shooting, woodworking, leather working and bow shooting, but the joy of his life was his family.

There will be a celebration of his life on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Deming, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice, Luna County Cancer Support, or Deming First United Methodist Church.
