Annie Aranda rsAnnie Bailon Aranda, 86, former resident of Deming passed away Thursday May 19, 2016 at home in Tucson, Arizona.

Annie was born July 14, 1929 in Belvedere, California to Ramon and Dolores (Chavez) Bailon.

She lived most all her life in Deming where she was employed with the Deming Public Schools in the cafeteria. She had also worked at Mimbres Memorial Hospital and K Bobs Restaurant for some time.

Annie was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she had always been very active and was a member of the Apostolado. She was also an avid gardener and supporter of her children's and grandchildren's athletic events. No matter the occasion, she always loved being with her family and grandchildren.

Annie was a resident of Tucson since 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Miguel O. Aranda of Tucson; sons, Mike, Richard, David (Cindy Molina) who was also her caregiver, and Joseph (Jennie) Aranda all of Tucson, Julian Aranda of Phoenix, AZ; and daughters, Linda Jaime of Deming and Patsy Aranda (Jennifer Beebe) of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Debra Salas on October 22, 2013.

Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5 to 7 at Baca's Funeral Chapel where a prayer vigil will begin at 7 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday morning at 10 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Manuel F. Ibarra, Pastor officiating. Concluding services interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Aranda, David Aranda Jr., Daniel Aranda, Richard Aranda Jr., Tomas Rodriguez Jr., Austin Self, Shane Mora, and Trey Villanueva.
