Mary Ann Burton 77 of Animas, New Mexico passed away on June 29, 2016.

Mary Ann was born in 1939 in Silver City New Mexico to Sherwood Culberson and Betty Jane Culberson.

Mary Ann and her husband, Don, made their home in Animas, NM as farmers.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Conejo Cotton Gin from the early 1950's to 1997, as well as a housewife, and a great mom. Mary Ann and Don had a passion for flying and both obtained pilot licenses in their early twenties.

Mary Ann loved working with youth of all ages, she was very active in the children's' ministries and music ministries in her church as well as the community. She dearly loved her Lord, her husband, her family and her pets. She molded and shaped many lives and will be deeply missed.

Mary Ann is survived by her four children Suzanne (Nick) Smallridge, Kim Burton, Chuck (Stephanie) Burton, Leland ( Laurie) Burton and her five grandchildren Christopher Burton, Mathew (Meredith) Burton, Ryan Burton, Joshua Burton, Breanna Burton, and her two great grandchildren Logan and Hannah Olson.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Don Burton. Don was the love and light of her life and she missed him terribly.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday July 9, 2016 at Lordsburg Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kim Burton, Chuck Burton, Leland Burton, Christopher Burton, Joshua Burton, Matthew Burton, and Ryan Burton.
