William Monroe Cobb, 85, of Mimbres, New Mexico passed away at his home on July 7, 2016.

William was born November 26, 1930 in Sherwood, Texas to Calvin and Abbie (Sparks) Cobb. He married Elsie May Kiser in Kermit, Texas on November 1, 1949. William was a carpenter by trade but had worked and retired from Brown and Root Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #10 AF & AM as well as the Scottish Rite, Shriners, and Eastern Star.

William is survived by two daughters, Joyce Cobb Hilleary and Linda Cobb Burks. Four grandchildren, Mark Hilleary, Melissa Hilleary, Dr. Eric Burks, and James Burks. Four great grandchildren, Alicia Hilleary, Isacca Rivas, Mathew Hilleary and William Hilleary.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Mae (Kiser) Cobb, sons Allen and Calvin Cobb; his parents, Calvin and Abbie (Sparks) Cobb; sisters, Bertha Harper, Beatrice Privetts, and Eugena Harris.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels. A memorial Service will be held at 6 o'clock in the evening on Thursday July 14, 2016 at Bayard Church of Christ with Minister Duane Springer officiating. Concluding services and burial will take place and be announced at a later date in Kermit, Texas.
