Robert OgasRobert Ogas, a resident of Hurley New Mexico, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, July 10, 2016, at the Tucson Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. He was 62.

Robert was born September 11, 1953 to Tomasa and Ramon Ogas in Morenci. He graduated from Safford High School as part of the class of 1972 and later from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico obtaining his associates degree.

He was married to the love of his life, Martha R. Ogas for 38 years. Their union was soon joined by five children, Fabiola, Rosie, Diana, Mark and Jason.

During his lifetime, Robert worked in underground mining for Chino Mines and the Bayard Housing Authority as well as various construction jobs. In recent years he could often be found preparing meals for friends and family thus coming to be known as "Burrito Bob".

Robert loved his family, his friends and will be sorely missed.

Robert is survived by: his children, Fabiola, of Santa Cruz, California, Rosie Tinajero (Juan), of Cathedral City, California, Diana Granados (Max), of Safford, Mark (Liz), of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Jason (Harley); Priscilla Dominguez, whom he loved like a daughter; twenty-one grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha; his mother, Tomasa; his father Ramon; a sister, Anna Ogas; and three brothers, Arturo Chavez, Raul Ogas and Richard Ogas.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated with his sister Anna Ogas on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels officiated by Belen Montoya.
