Evelyn De Herrera Rivera entered into the heavenly gates surrounded by her loving family Sunday, July 24, 2016.

Mrs. Rivera was born February 27, 1935 to Juan Ben De Herrera and Louisa Sauzo De Herrera in Costilla, New Mexico.

She was raised in Bayard, NM where she met Matias Zapata Rivera Jr. the love of her life and married him June 16, 1951. They moved to California where they raised their children.

She moved back home to Silver City, NM in 1974 on a business adventure running the Silver Motel and eventually starting a family business: Evelyn's Caf+
