Ernest "Ernie" A. Torres, 41, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, July 28, 2016 at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

He was born August 6, 1974 in Deming, NM to Ernesto "Butch" D. Torres and Concha Aragon.

Ernie was pursuing a degree at WNMU for Early Childhood Education.

Ernie was an avid hunter and enjoyed being out in the wilderness.

He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew. Ernie was a man who had a big heart and greeted everybody with open arms and a huge smile. He was a member and mentor with El Grito Headstart Father Power Program.
