David Arthur Chavez, 58 passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 in Tucson AZ.

David graduated from Silver High School in 1977 and attended Western New Mexico University receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree.

David served in the United States Army and Army National Guard and was called to active duty several times. He worked at White Sands Missile Range and was an armed security guard supervisor.

He was a barber for many years at Silver Barber Shop and he loved to record and listen to music.

David loved all of his nieces, nephews and cousins. David was a very giving, special person and he touched the hearts of all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his brothers Mariano Lopez, Fernando Chavez, his sisters Katie Kincheloe, Stella Lucero, Toni Vasquez, Rose Gutierrez, Virginia Marin, Samantha Cooper, a special godson Rick Pacheco and his two beloved cats.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Celedonia C Lopez, and father, Arthur Montoya.

A graveside service will be held at the Fort Bayard National Cemetery Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm with full Military Honors.

Pallbearers Rick Pacheco, Mike Marin, Rogue Marin, James Marin, Eloy Lucero, Tom Castillo, Teddy Martinez, and Steve Lopez.
