ELVIN R. RAGSDALE, 75, Deming resident passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso Texas.

Elvin was born December 28, 1940 in Raymondville, Texas to Lois Lewis and Ernest Alvoid Ragsdale.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and afterward began his career as an electrical contractor. He had worked in California and Illinois and after his retirement in 2004 he and his wife made Deming their home. Elvin was a member of the I.B.E.W and enjoyed tennis and golf.

He is survived by his wife Michele Ragsdale of the home; his son Richard Ragsdale and wife Lisa of Los Angeles, CA. and his granddaughter Veronica Ragsdale.

At his request no services will be held. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
