Jimmy Joe Ruiz, 63, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 2, 1953 in Santa Rita to Jimmy N. Ruiz and Connie Medel.

He is survived by his mother, Connie M. Ruiz of the family home; two brothers, Robert Jerry Ruiz and wife Rosemary of Santa Clara; John Raymond Ruiz of Santa Clara; a brother-in-law, Anthony Campos and companion Cynthia of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mary Helen Young of Albuquerque; Esther M. Ruiz of Santa Clara; nieces, Helen, Roberta (Jesse), Faith, Margarita (Jose), Connie (Michael) and Lupe; nephews, Anthony, Cody, Joseph and Robert (Violet); numerous great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Ramon and Margarita Ruiz, maternal grandparents, Alejandro Medel and Emerenacana Ramirez.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Deacon Richard Rodriguez reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, September 15 at 9:30am at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating. Concluding service an interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Michael and E.J., Milo, Michael Milo Jr., Jose Roacho, Joseph and Isaiah Ruiz, Robert J. Ruiz Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Becerra and Frank Johnston.
