Charles "Chuck" M. Marsh 70 of Silver City, New Mexico passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence.

Charles was born in East Ely, Nevada. He was a graduate of White Pine High School.

Charles had an honorable discharge in November 16, 1973 from the Navy. He was recognized with a National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Charles was selected by the Bureau of Medicine, Washington, D.C. to accompany the surgical team for the splash down of the Apollo 11. Marsh was also a part of the personal team for President Nixon and the three astronauts at the Apollo 11 splash down.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing and hunting shed Elk Antlers. Chuck will be missed by all who knew him.
