Bartolo Carbajal, 89, Deming resident passed away Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2016 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Cruces.

Bartolo was born in Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico to Andrea Madrid and Jose Carbajal on August 24, 1927. He spent most of his life in Ascencion, Mexico and moved to Deming in 2000.

He was of the Christian faith, a school custodian and loved to play musical instruments and sing.

Bartolo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Mauricia Carbajal of the home; 5 sons; Jose Andres, Jesus Manuel and wife Aileen, Jesus Mario and wife Lourdes, Luis Martin, Pedro and wife Silvia; 3 daughters, Gloria Daena, Maria del Socorro and Rosa Maria; 42 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren and many more extended family and friends that he loved so much.

His parents have preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 3 o'clock in the afternoon Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Baca's Funeral Chapel with an evening service to follow at 6 o'clock Pastor Obed Rivera will officiate.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 12 noon Thursday September 29, 2016 at Saint Ann's Catholic Church. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Father Manuel F. Ibarra will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Andres, Jesus Manuel, Jesus Mario and Luis Martin Carbajal, Manuel Jimenez, Rene Gonzalez, Miguel Armendariz and Filiberto Nu+
