Benito Villegas, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 2, 2016.

Benito was born in Las Animas, Chihuahua, MX, and was raised in Parral, Chihuahua, MX. He lived his life in Santa Clara, NM for 57 years where he worked locally as a miner and a business owner of La Tiendita.

Benito was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and enjoyed playing dominos with his friends. He loved playing his harmonica and guitar and loved to sing and whistle all the day long.

The outdoors, horses and farm animals were his joy and he also enjoyed roller skating and playing billiards. He was lovingly known as a local "pool-shark" among his friends.

He raised two beautiful daughters and two sons who all attended Cobre High School.

Benito is survived by his loving wife Ofelia Villegas, of 57 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Laura V. Chavez and husband Ilde, Cori Medina, and husband Juan; and his sons, Benito Villegas and wife Jaime, Richard Villegas and wife Donna. He has eight (8) grandchildren, DiAndra Gunning and husband Rick, JC Medina, Brianna Chavez, Ilianna Chavez, Kimberly Villegas, Samuel Villegas, Caleb Villegas, Andrew Villegas and two (2) great grandchildren, Ricky Gunning and Elijah Gunning.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 6:00pm Friday November 11, 2016 at Terrazas Funeral Chapels followed by funeral service at 6pm. Interment will take place on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in Phoenix, AZ, at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave. Pallbearers will be Ilde Chavez, Richard Villegas, Benito Villegas, Juan and JC Medina and Samuel Villegas.
