Aurora L. Teran, 85, of Silver City, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Aurora was born to Augustin and Estephana (Perez) Lucero on April 13, 1931 in Tyrone, NM.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Aurora was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Aurora is survived by two sons, Ray Teran and Augustin Teran (Esther); one daughter, Sandra Martinez (Larry); one brother, Richard P. Lucero; 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E. Teran; six brothers, Alberto Lucero, Anastacio Lucero "Tacho", Francisco and David Alvarez, Jose Maria Lucero "Chema", Carlos Lucero, one sister, Amelia Bueno; nephew, Alfred Bueno and niece, Stephanie Diaz.

The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Francis Newman Center with the Funeral Liturgy to follow. Officiating will be Fr. Jarek Nowacki. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrea Silva, Edward Marquez, Mikaelo and Teddy Martinez, Danny Ray and Santana Teran. Cremation will follow at Baca's Silver City Crematory.
