Don Corbly rsDonald William Corbly, 84, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his residence.

He was born April 28,1932 in Pittsburg, PA to Bill Corbly and Viola Wenk.

He proudly served his country as a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne during the Korean War. He was ranked as a Sergeant First Class.

He worked at Kennecott Copper Corporation for thirty years and retired from Phelps Dodge after working for ten years.

He had a passion for running and participated in twenty marathons.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Naomi Corbly of Silver City; one son, Ronald "Ron" James Corbly and wife Suzanne of Silver City; two daughters, Judie Ann Morone and husband Frank of Orland Park, IL; Kris Lowry and husband Ray of Silver City; five grandchildren, Tim, Tisha, Jerame, Ben and Tara; twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wilma Musneski and Edna Mae Cole.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the funeral service to follow at 9:30am with Pastor Mark Castillo officiating. Concluding service an interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Jerame Nelson, Alex Lowry, Tim Lowry, Mike Galik, Ray Lowry and Frank Morrone.
