Jim A. Leach, 85, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at his residence.

He was born December 9, 1931 in Billings, Montana to Jim Leach and Pauline Burch. Jim proudly served his country with the 101st Paratrooper Division in the U.S. Army.

He was a heavy equipment operator specializing in tunnel construction. A tunnel stiff.

He loved to hunt, fish and his true love was target shooting and tinkering in his gun room. He was a 40-year member of the NRA.

He was always helping family, friends, and people in need.

He was a wonderful husband and father.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet Leach of the family home; two sons, Timothy "Tim" Leach and wife Diane of Grass Valley, CA; Randy Woods and wife Kathy of Nevada City, CA; one daughter, Joyce Leach of Sacramento, Ca; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Nocnesky and husband Dr. Nate of Minneapolis, MN; Joy Leach of Billings, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Emily Radley ('96).

A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 30 at 1pm at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
