The Thrashes rsMary Ann Thrash, 76, a longtime resident of Deming passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. Her husband, Grady Thrash, 78, passed away the following day, Sunday December 4, 2016 at Mt. View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Mary Ann was born November 24, 1940 in Alex, Oklahoma to Homer and Christine Spears. Locally she was Owner/Broker at Suncrest Realty and had a keen eye for her passion of collecting antiques. She always enjoyed travelling with her husband and seeing new places wherever they went. Mary Ann always enjoyed being outdoors with her family and will be especially remembered for her homemade pecan pies.

Harrell Grady Thrash, 78, was born July 25,1938 in Conway, Arkansas. His family moved to Deming where Grady attended Sunshine School and later graduated from Deming High School where he excelled in track. He served his country honorably as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Grady was a Junior World Champion Bull Rider and continued his skill on into the Marine Corps being an Armed Forces Champion Bull Rider. Grady owned and operated "Farmers Agro-Chem" in Parker, Arizona for many years and after selling the business he and Mary Ann relocated back to Deming. Locally he kept busy with several agriculture related ventures.

Grady and Mary Ann are survived by their children, Wesley Thrash of Deming, Diane Olsen (Mike) of Phoenix, Arizona; Gradys brother and sister, Carroll Thrash (Meredith) of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Barbara Shock (Ronnie) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; Mary Ann's sister, Patty Dudley (Ron) of Santa Paula, California; their grandchildren, Christopher (Dina) and Macy Olsen; and great grandchildren, Elliana and Owen Olsen. Grady was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Reynolds and Mary Ann was preceded in death by her three siblings, sister Connie Moss, and brothers, Billy and Bobby Spears.

Funeral services will be Thursday December 8, 2016 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Baca's Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Hamilton, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Thrash, Ronnie Shock, Carroll Thrash, Joe Thrash, Mike Olsen and Chris Olsen.
