Faustin Alarid rsFaustin Alarid was born in Dilia, NM on August 17, 1934. He passed away on January 13, 2017.

He was an Army veteran, lifelong rancher, bronc rider, and he loved all animals, no matter the size. He loved to read newspaper, to watch boxing, to cook and especially sing. He was the caretaker for his mother whom he loved dearly. He loved being visited by friends and family. He especially loved when his grandkids visited; visits from Robert (Murph), Andres, Santiago (Santi), Izzy (Hulk) and was waiting for a visit from Baby Stella.

Two sons survive him, Peter Alarid and wife Andrea of Pinos Altos; Robert Lopez of Denver, CO who was adopted and raised by Robert and Rosemary Lopez of Bayard; three grandchildren who he loved more than anything, Peter Isaiah Alarid, Christian Isaac Alarid, Genneveve McKenna Alarid; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Luisita Alarid, his brothers, Candido, Ben, and Johnny Alarid; his sisters, Amada Rasco, Helen Rodriguez, Lupe Salas, Stella Murphy, and Corrine Quevedo; three nephews, Angel "Unky" Quevedo, Billy and Johnny Murphy.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
