Guadalupe "Lupe" Villagran, 90, a resident of Gila, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

He was born January 20, 1927 in Chihuahua, Mexico.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Socorro, of the family home; two sons, Jose Villagran of Carlsbad, NM; Lupe Villagran Jr. of Gila; one daughter, Maria Villagran and companion Albert Arsola of Silver City; two grandchildren, Brittani, and Joseph Villagran of Carlsbad; two brothers, Sabas Villagran of Silver City; Jesus Villagran of Chihuahua, Mexico; one sister, Rosita Villagran of Silver City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Hilario Villagran; two brothers, Juan, and Carlos Villagran; two sisters, Conchita Marrufo and Angela Olivas.

Visitation will be Friday, February 3 from 6-7 pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 7 pm with Fr. Elias reciting. The funeral liturgy will be Saturday, February 4 at 10 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Fr. Elias officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Gila Catholic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ogas, Michael Ogas Jr., Andy, Matt, and Matthew Gutierrez, Jacob Lawrence, and Mike Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Romero, Pat Gutierrez, and Albert Arsola, his godchildren and all his nieces and nephews.
