Sally Ann Raphael was born September 26, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Frances Mirocha (step-father, George Budnick). Sally lost her long battle with cancer on December 24, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Sally graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago and married Chris in 1976. The couple had two children together, including seven grandchildren. She moved with her family to Golden Valley, MN; Chagrin Falls, OH; Chelmsford, MA; Silver City, NM; and Colorado Springs, CO making great friends and volunteering for church, school, and other social activities. Sally and her husband owned a furniture store in Silver City and helped furnish most of southwestern New Mexico. She loved to spend time with her family, knit, quilt, craft and was an active participant at church functions and civic clubs. She was the Gǣbest in her row.Gǥ

Sally is survived by her husband, Chris Raphael; two sons, Steve (Kate) Raphael, and Rob (Julie) Raphael; daughter, Nicole (Sam) Downs; her mother, Frances Budnick; brother, Larry (Kate) Budnick; three sisters, Susan (Felix) DeLeon, Janet Budnick, and Laurie (Mark) Charneske; and her seven grandchildren; Blake, Hailey, Tommy, Jack, Peter, Frank, and Athena.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, at St. Francis Newman Center, 914 W. 13th Street, followed by a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1301 N. Swan in Silver City. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sally's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to:
