Nicho Espinosa rsThe Lord took Dionisio "Nicho" M. Espinosa, 96, into his loving arms on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He died peacefully in his sleep.

Nicho was born on February 2, 1921 to Ramon Espinosa and Teresa Merino Espinosa in Deming.

He was a resident of Grant County for most of his adult life.

Nicho was a retiree of the Santa Fe Railroad and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

He will always be in our hearts and greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dionisio is survived by his sons, Dionisio Espinosa Jr., (Norma), Raul Espinosa (Melisha), and Ramiro Espinosa; daughters, Delia Correa (Rudy), Lilia Adame (Rudy), Rosalinda Silva (Gilbert), Gloria Espinosa, Elvia Lambe, Elma Fernandez (Rudy) and Margarita Espinosa; one brother, Ramon Espinosa (Margarita); 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Espinosa and Teresa Merino Espinosa; mother of his children, Consuelo Espinosa; three brothers, Raul, Salvador and Herman Espinosa; a son Gilberto Espinosa.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 4 to 5 pm at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City with the Prayer Vigil and Rosary following at 5 o'clock in the evening. Officiating is Deacon Bill Holguin. The Funeral Liturgy will be, Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard. Concluding Services and Burial will follow at the Hanover Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Paulus Kao.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Correa, Eric Silva, Dino Espinosa, Ramiro Espinosa Jr., Chuck Espinosa and Mark Correa.
