Marjorie Harrison rsMarjorie Elaine Harrison, 89 of Silver City passed away at home on Saturday, March 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and under the care Horizon Hospice.

Marjorie Elaine Eads Harrison was born January 10, 1928 in Thorndale Texas to Claude and Louise Barbe Eads. She dedicated her life to her family and loved her children. Marjorie was active in several civic organizations. She worked with her husband Bill in soil and water conservation on the local, state and national level as well as with her husband in the American Legion and Rotary. She held various offices in those organizations and was active in the Episcopal Church. Before anything Marjorie was a wonderful mother and wife who enjoyed working with children. She will truly be missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 69 years, James W. (Bill) Harrison; her children, daughters, Elaine Snyder (Randy); and Ann Marek (Bill) of Silver City; and son James Roger Harrison (Vicki) of Hitchcock, TX. One brother, Larry Eads of Georgetown, TX. Also surviving her are grandchildren, James Michael Snyder (Aileen); Douglas Allen Snyder; William Leroy Marek; Christine Elaine Antonio (Phil) and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Louise Barbe Eads, a brother, Glen; and a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Edna Biggs.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held at Ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, on the corner of 7th Street and Texas in Silver City. Officiating will be Father Paul Moore. Inurnment of her cremated remains will be held at Fort Bayard National Cemetery upon completion of the columbarium at a later date.
