Lois E. Ward Toombs 84 of Silver City, New Mexico passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

She was born in Erie, PA. The daughter of the late Grant L. and Lois Coverdale War, she grew up in the Findley Lake, NY.

Lois was a 1951 graduate of Clymer Central High School of Clymer, NY and of Hamot Hospital School of Nursing in Erie, PA, class of 1954. She worked as an RN at Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA and at hospitals in Alexandria, VA, Mercy Medical Hospital in Canton, Ohio and in Tucson, Arizona before retiring in 1987.

Lois loved to read, and watched Jeopardy every night on television.

She is survived by one brother Charles Roger Ward of Riverside, California.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, three sisters Jean Perdue, June Wright, Carol Ward and one brother, Don Ward.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bright Funeral Home.
