Pat Williams rsPatricia "Pat" Kimbley Williams, 71, a lifelong resident of Hidalgo county, passed away April 6, 2017 at Sunshine Haven in Lordsburg, NM., after a 5 year battle with cancer.

Patricia Williams, known as Pat to many, was born in Lordsburg on December 1, 1945, to Bill and Susie Kimbley. She graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1963 and then attended New Mexico State University where she met her husband of 51 years, Lance Williams. After Lance's graduation, they settled in Lordsburg where they raised two children, Mark and Tricia.

Pat worked for her parents at their Shell Dealership before going to work for Western Bank. Later she served as 6th Judicial District Court Clerk until her retirement in 2007. An active member of First United Methodist Church all her life, she enjoyed singing in the choir and the annual cantata, and served as Treasurer of the church until her death. She was also an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years.

She liked traditional country music, enjoyed traveling with friends, and most of all she loved watching her kids and grandkids perform at sporting events and rodeos.

In her final five years, Pat battled cancer the same way she lived her life-with strength and dignity. She fought very hard and never lost her positive attitude and her enthusiasm for life. She will be dearly missed by her entire family and her countless number of friends.

She is survived by her husband, Lance, of Animas; her daughter Tricia Washburn and husband, Owen, and their children, Braiden and Tierney, all of Animas; grandchildren Tatum and Teak Williams, of Ireland; her sister Connie Corbell, and husband Gary, of Lordsburg; and nephews Brian Watkins, wife Caroline, and son Cason of Los Alamos, and Jason Watkins, of Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Williams, and her parents, Bill and Susie Kimbley, all of Lordsburg.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Lordsburg, New Mexico, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Owen and Braiden Washburn, Brian and Jason Watkins, Gary Corbell and Jimmie DeBusk.
