Enriquez "Henry" P. Gomez, 72, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born December 11, 1944 in Central, NM to Andres Gomez and Cyrilda Placencio.

Mr. Gomez proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He loved the outdoors, whether it be fishing, gardening, or working in his tool shed.

His favorite pastime was making knives.

He loved his wife, Ramona, she was his joy for nearly forty years. She was the love of his life as were his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Ramona of the family home; two sons, Joseph Gomez of Santa Clara; Joe Garcia of Truth or Consequences; five daughters, Julie Ewer and husband Larry of San Tan Valley, AZ; Patricia Kirker and husband Alvin of Santa Clara; Josie Perez of Wilcox, AZ; Sophie Gomez of Las Vegas, NV; Jeannette Gomez also of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Mike Gomez of Ft. Bayard; five sisters, Monica Gomez of Pico Rivera, CA; Corrina Morales of Pico Rivera, CA; Terri Garcia and husband Manuel of Bayard; Virginia Hernandez and husband Fred of Bayard; Petra Ramirez and husband Roberto of Santa Clara; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jimmy Garcia and Enrique "Wero" Gomez Jr., two brothers, Rosario Gomez and Andres Gomez III.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18 at 10 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Pastor Joseph Gros officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
