Jesus S. Acosta, 75, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

He was born in Silver City, NM to Jesus V. Acosta and Domitila Sepulveda Acosta.

He proudly serviced his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean/Vietnam era.

He is survived by his loving wife, Isabelle Acosta of the family home; three sons, Jess Acosta of Silver City; Jose Luis Acosta and wife Angela of Georgetown, TX; James J. Acosta and wife Devorie of Silver City; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dannielle, Landon, Gabrielle, Isaac, Delany, Nicholas, and Natalie; one sister, Ysidra Gonzalez and husband Conrado of Las Cruces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation was Wednesday, May 3 at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The Christian Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating.

Pallbearers were Jess, Joseph, and James Acosta, Leo Arciero, Raul Salcido, Brandon Molina, P.J. Marquez, and Reno Rosati. Honorary pallbearers were Isaac Aguilar and his remaining grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund PO Box 1189 Silver City, NM 88062.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
