Ronald S. Peña, 50, a resident of Arenas Valley, NM entered eternal rest Monday, May 22, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 1, 1966 in Silver City, NM to Arthur C. Peña and Susie Sedillos Peña.

Heaven gained an angel, someone so special to us. He was a loving and caring father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved spending time with the people he loved. He enjoyed the outdoors and watching his Kansas City Chiefs play on Sundays. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He will be kept in our hearts forever. We love you, DAD!

He is survived by his parents, two sons, Ronnie James Peña, and companion D'Ana Contreras; Jared Arthur Peña; two daughters, Jessica Peña, and companion Israel Avena; Angelic Peña and companion Christopher Garza; two grandchildren, Israel James Avena, and Ezreia Jaidynn Avena; three sisters, Tina Rodriguez, and husband Wimpy; Angela Ortiz and husband Trini; Melissa Salas and husband Chico. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Isaac Joseph Avena.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 25 from 10-10:30am with the holy rosary to begin at 10:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Terry Sedillos Holguin reciting. The funeral mass will follow at 12 noon at Infant Jesus Catholic Shrine in Hurley, NM with Father Francisco Diaz officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Sedillos, Israel Avena, Christopher Garza, Israel James Avena, Rudy Valerio, Wimpy Rodriguez, Chico Salas, and Trini Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers will be TJ Ortiz, Robert Rodriguez III, Andrew, Marcus, and Dominic Salas, Adam Legarda, Gabriel Quintana, Isaac Castillo, Gibby Muñoz, Davey Rios, Daniel, Ruben, and Efren Sedillos, Speedy and Ruben Padilla, Sam and Leroy Maldonado, Robert Rodriguez, Randy Dominguez, James Gandara, Jesus and Vicky Sedillos.
