Nancy J. Gomez, 58, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born May 16, 1959 in Alamogordo, NM to Manuel G. Gomez and Priscilla Jacquez Gomez.

Nancy will be remembered most by her beautiful smile and her contagious laugh that could be heard before entering a room. Nancy's kind heart and sweet personality made her many friends. We will forever remember her humor, which at times had us rolling on the ground. She was so funny; yet very reserved and somewhat shy.

Nancy loved life, music, dancing and singing. She loved her family and her good friends with all her heart. All of whom played a role in her happy life. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Jacquez, two daughters, April Ortega, and husband David of Silver City; Nadine Abrego and husband Aaron of Corpus Christi, TX; nine grandchildren, Juan Manuel, Ariel, Michael, Jade, Aaliyah, Makayla, Jerimiah, Layla, and Noah; two brothers, Emilio Gomez and wife Melissa of Silver City; Tommy Gomez and wife Catheryn of Tyrone; one sister, Margie Gomez of Silver City; and ex-husband, David Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel G. Gomez, one brother, Enriquez Gomez; one nephew, Thomas Sanchez.

Rosary will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Art Gutierrez reciting. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Newman Center. Concluding service an inurnment will follow at St. Vincent Catholic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy, Emilio, and Margie Gomez, Lydia Villegas, Elizabeth Gomez, Rudy Jacquez, David Ortega, and Aaron Abrego. Honorary pallbearers will be Teresa J. Provencio, Dolores J. Altamirano, Amelia B. Lucero, Lillian Marin, Alicia O. Jacquez, Delia O. Jacquez, and all her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
