Canderlario "Larry" Nunez, 83 of Glenwood, NM passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Larry was born October 9, 1933 in Roswell, NM to Roman and Lucinda (Cordova) Nunez.

He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and retired after many years of service as a Range Conservationist with the Bureau of Land Management and the United States Forest Service.

Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Margaret; daughter, Valerie Nunez of San Patricio, NM; sons, Dwain Nunez (Diane) of Placitas, NM, Larry "Tony" Nunez (Kelly) of Ruidoso Downs, NM, Darrel Nunez (Barb) of Las Cruces, NM, Dody Nunez (Patty) of Tucumcari, NM; Step sons, Troy Stephenson of Glenwood, NM and Darrel Goad (Misty) of Tucson, AZ; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Nunez (Orlidia) of Las Cruces, NM and Andrew Nunez (Carolyn) of Hatch, NM; four sisters, Patsy Sanchez (Tony) of Carrizozo, NM, Annie Jenks of Roswell, NM, Francis Nunez of Roswell, NM and Carolyn Wages of Loving, NM.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Lucinda Nunez; and four brothers, Waldo, R.C., Danny and Dody.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels. A memorial service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at a later date in Glenwood, NM.
