Juanita R Ashcraft, 80, passed away at her residence on Monday June 26, 2017 with her family at her side.

She was born March 1937 in Crow County, Minnesota to August Deshays and Mildred Mitchell. She grew up in Emily, Minnesota and after graduation from high school traveled to Colorado Springs.

She met and married James Ashcraft who was in the Army at Fort Carson in 1956. After the army hitch in 1957 they moved to Silver City. They had three sons Lawayne Ashcraft Sieferman, Michael David Ashcraft, and Brett Allan Ashcraft.

She loved gardening and planting flowers in pots. She worked as a typesetter in the mid-eighties and also as a Loan Officer for American National Bank in 1972.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bright Funeral Home.
