alize simpson rsAlize Howlingcrane Simpson, 16, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence.

She was born May 1, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM to Albert and Dora E. Simpson.

Alize was a student at Cobre High School. She was a beautiful, smart sweet sixteen Navajo and Pueblo Native American. She liked listening to music, camping, hanging out with her aunt Delia, playing with her brothers, eating hot Cheetos and Starbursts, and going to family gatherings.

She is survived by her Grandpa (Dad), Albert "Chief" and Grandma (Mom) Dora Simpson of the family home; three brothers, Alvin and Symon Simpson of the home in Bayard; Ezkiel from Albuquerque; Aunt Delia Esparza and her son David Ray of Santa Clara; Uncle Armando Simpson and wife Brandy and their children A.J. and Isabel of Bayard; Uncle Sammy Simpson and his companion Princess of Santa Clara; great grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth Esparza and Great-Great Grandma Polly Esparza of Santa Clara; Grandma Rose Yepa of Jemez Pueblo; Aunt and Uncle Liz and Nick Flores, Steven Escobar and wife Alyson and their family, cousins, Angelo Flores, Izzy, Alyanna, Sonny, and Daisy of Santa Clara; cousin, Angelo Flores; Santana Escobar of Richland, WA; uncles and aunt Albert "Bad Boy" Esparza and wife Yvonne and cousin Leandra of Santa Clara; Shawn Esparza and family of Bayard; lots of friends, uncles, aunts, and cousins from Farmington and Albuquerque; extended family Chavela Macias and Lita Martinez of Bayard; Norma and Kristy Arambula and family of Silver City; birthparents, Nicole Howlingcrane and Albert Simpson Jr. of Albuquerque.

Alize was greeted in Heaven by her great-great grandparents, Thomas and Jane Simpson; her aunt, Kimberly Simpson; her uncle Richard Paul Esparza.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 8 from 9 - 10 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to begin at 10 a.m. with Deacon Art Gutierrez reciting. The funeral mass follows at 11 a.m. at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating.

Pallbearers will be Armando and Sammy Simpson, Steven and Santana Escobar, Leandra, and Albert Esparza. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Flores, Frank C. Lucero, Shawn Esparza, Alvin, and Symon Simpson.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
