bobby cuevas rsRobert "Bobby" Joseph Cuevas passed away in his home in Pinos Altos, NM surrounded by his loved ones on July 18, 2017.

He was born on January 9, 1964 to Ramon "Natcho" and Rosalinda Cuevas. He was raised in Pinos Altos, NM and graduated from Silver High School in 1982.

Robert proudly served 10 years in the US Air Force as a flight mechanic. He served 3 years in law enforcement as a correctional officer and many years in heavy construction.

Robert loved music, art, gardening, fishing and hunting with his dad, and making people laugh. He had a loving heart and a deep love for his children and grandchildren and all his family. He will join his best friends and cousins Kenny Davila and Bobby Brickey in Heaven.

He is survived by his beloved Marni Smith; his children, Amy Jane Lozoya, Mark Kelly and his wife Prima, Jacob and Mazie Cuevas; his parents Ramon and Rosalinda; his sisters and brother-in-law's, Adrienne and Joaquin Carney, Mona and Audie Brown, Diane and Billy Madrid, Roxanne and Butch Turner; twelve grandchildren; eleven nephews and nieces; Uncle Bob Brickey and many special Cuevas cousins; Gisela Serna and family; Eusebio Serna and family; Ernesto and Marion Serna and family; Edith and Pat Gutierrez and family; MaryAnn Valencia and family; and Great aunt Connie Davila and family; and many cherished Serna cousins; one God-child, Tanya Torres Maldonado; his God-mother, Nita Chavez.

He was preceded in death by Paternal grandparents, Homogon and Rosario Cuevas, Ramona, Manuelito, Daniel, Manuel, Alfredo, and Paul Cuevas, Crusie Brickey and many beloved Cuevas cousins; Maternal grandparents, Ricardo, and Blasa Serna; Great-grandmother, Librada Tellez; Ricardo Jr. and Jim Sr., Pat Valencia, Jim Jr., Mark, and Bobby Joe Serna.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25 from 5-6 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to begin at 6 p.m. with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26 at 9 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating.

Inurnment will be at Pinos Altos cemetery at 4:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Randy Murillo, Gilbert Torres Jr., Jamie Serna, Paul "Blue" Gutierrez, Jacob Cuevas, Matthew Getz, Dominic Carney, Jacob Cuevas and Ron Cody Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Serna, Eusebio Serna, Patric Roha, Joaquin Carney, Billy Madrid, Butch Turner, Audie Brown and Eddie Cuevas.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
