Robert H. Mesa, 68, of Silver City, New Mexico passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Silver City Care Center surrounded by loved ones.
Robert's death brings great sadness to his family and friends who loved him. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and His word.
He had a "green thumb;" any seed dropped would grow. He was a voracious reader and would bring home armful of large books on many subjects. He was creative and if he came across paint he used it. He had a unique sense of humor, telling jokes and laughing before you could, he had so much love and affection to share with his many nieces and nephews, with the little he had, he shared with them.
Lastly Robert Mesa loved and honored his mother Mary Mesa. They spent so much time together talking, laughing, cooking and eating. This loss is especially hard for her and his brother Carlos.
Robert is survived by his mother Mary Hill Mesa, his siblings are Dora Estrada (David), George Mesa (Cecilia), Ray Meza and (Goya), Carlos Mesa, Tillie M. Aguilar, Jose Armando Mesa, Candy Mesa Laney and Georgia Mesa Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his father Jorge V. Mesa, grandmother Candelaria Mesa, grandfather Julian Hill and infant brothers Maximiliano and Ruben Mesa.
A visitation will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Bright Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be recited at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jose Armando Mesa, Michael Mesa, Alejandro Aguilar, Joshua Estrada, Dustin Estrada, Ray Meza Jr., Jose Luis Meza and Bo Laws. Honorary Pallbearers are David Estrada, Daniel Estrada, Jorge Meza, Aaron Mesa, Eric Adam Mesa, Andrew Meza, Matthew Miranda, Eric Valdez, and Dominick Duncan.
