Shirley Ann Colby, 76, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her residence.

She was born December 1, 1940 in Roswell, NM.

Shirley was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority which was an endearing activity to her. She was also an active volunteer as an auxiliary member of the Pink Ladies. She was also an active member of the Town and Country Community Garden Thrift Store.

Shirley had a quick wit that went with her sparkling blue eyes.

She took great enjoyment in cooking for her family and friends and always had a place at the table for their pets.

She is survived by two daughters, Sonya Dixon of Santa Clara; Sherry Dixon of North Carolina, and two grandchildren, Daniel C. Wiggins of Atlanta, GA; Aaron Wiggins of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mark Colby, three brothers, Wayne, Buddy, and Donald Roberson; and one sister, Doris Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Father Paul Moore officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
