Celestina V. Miranda was surrounded by her family and died peacefully in Rio Rancho, NM, on October 1, 2017, at the age of 90.

The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 at eleven thirty in the morning at St. Francis Newman Center in Silver City followed by the Funeral Liturgy at twelve noon. Concluding services and burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Jaroslaw Nowacki.

Celestina was born on October 30, 1926, in Las Mesa, NM. She started raising her family in Columbus, NM, then moved to Silver City, NM, and finally moved to Rio Rancho, NM. Celestina devoted her entire life to raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She instilled values, respect, character, devotion, resilience, compassion, and love to her entire family. Celestina had a tremendous heart and was loved by all who knew her. She had a deep affection for dogs, flowers, and the outdoors. We were blessed to be hers and will carry her with us until we meet again.

Celestina is survived by her sons Benny Miranda, David Miranda, Eddie Miranda (Norine); grandchildren Celeste McKimmey (Chris), Charlie Miranda, Ben Miranda, David Miranda, Antoinette DeLarue, Dartanian Miranda, Chris DeLarue, Valerie Miranda (Julio), Amber Weaver (Brian), Jennifer Ortiz, Jason Dominguez; and numerous great-grandchildren.
