beatriz quesada rsBeatriz J. Quesada, 87, of Bayard passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Beatriz was born on December 26, 1929 in Minas Nuevas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Jurado and Rafaela Diaz. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, going to pick pinon, cutting wood and going to the casino. More important, Beatriz loved spending time with her all her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beatriz is survived by her sons, Rito Orrantia (Levita), Pedro Quesada ( Priscilla), Apolinar Quesada (Julieta); daughters, Ofelia Marquez (Lorenzo), Mauricia Huerta, Leticia Quesada, Mariana Holguin (Oscar), Lupita Quesada (John); brothers, Erasmo, Jesus, Amado and Elfido Jurado; sisters, Anastacia Ortega, Maria Elisa Gutierrez; step daughter-in-law, Tillie Quesada; 50 grandchildren, 164 great-grandchildren and 39 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eduardo Quesada; brothers, Alfonso, Ernesto and Enrique Jurado; sisters, Melida and Luzmila Jurado; grandchild, Michael Orrantia; great-grandchildren, Bobby Joe Marquez Jr. and Angelo Jasso; stepson, Claudio Quesada.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at five o'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City. The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will follow at six o'clock in the evening, officiating will be Deacon Art Gutierrez. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at ten o'clock in the morning at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Silver City. Concluding services and burial will be at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Oliver Obele.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gabriel Flores, Jose Levario, Rito Orrantia Jr., Paul Quesada, Oscar Holguin Jr. and Merced Huerta.
