Josephine Cifarelli Lowe, 90, of Silver City, NM passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Silver City Care Center.

She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Valentines Day, 1927. She was a first generation American, born to European immigrants, Guiseppe "Joseph" Cifarelli (Italy) and Gertrude Schmidt (Germany).

Josephine was orphaned at 3 years of age and was raised at St. Mary's Academy in Silver City, New Mexico.

Josephine was the widow of Boyd "Cookie" Lowe.

She is survived by her son, Russell Lowe of Silver City, NM, her daughter and son in law, Vicky and Charles Hawman and her grandchildren, Cody and Teresa Hawman and Breann Hawman, all of Durango, CO.

A memorial service is to be held at a future date.
