juliana covarrubia rsJuliana Covarrubia, 75, longtime Deming resident passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by family.

Juliana was born February 6, 1942 to Maria de Jesus Morales and Mariano Alvarado in Durango, Mexico. She moved to Deming coming from Palomas, Mexico and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her family will remember her as a loving and caring person who loved to cook for her family.

She is survived by 3 sons, Moises Dominguez and wife Dawn of Nevada, Jorge and Gerardo Chavez both of Deming; 5 daughters, Rosa Chavez de Sandoval and husband Erasmo of Cd. Juarez, Mexico, Olga Martin and husband Jaime, Gabriela Chavez, Anna Chavez and husband Oscar Arroyos all of Deming and Alejandra Covarrubia of Santa Teresa, NM; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin Thursday afternoon from 4 to 8 at Baca's Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel with Mr. Pablo Ledesma of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses presiding. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jorge Chavez, Gerardo Chavez, Jaime Martin, Alonzo Martin, Carlos Miranda, Mario Miranda, Erasmo Sandoval and Oscar Arroyos
