lenora wolfingtonLenora Jean Wolfington, 68, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

She was born January 20, 1949 in Morton, TX to Fred Corn, and Velma Fikes. Lenora, or Jean as her family called her, was always laughing. She enjoyed life, even though life wasn't always good to her. Jean loved people, especially the elderly, so in her youth she became a live-in caregiver to women and couples. But after a few years, her own health made her unable to work. She never complained.

Learning to drive was an interesting adventure. When she would finally reach the clutch to change gears, she would not be able to see over the dashboard. As a young girl she couldn't say spaghetti. It always came out pasghetti. Her favorite candy growing up was peanut patties, and her favorite color was red. Aunts and uncles always called her "Little Jeanie".

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. This was one of Lenora's favorite passages. She loved the Lord and served Him by loving others. She and her sister in Oklahoma would often share their faith with each other.

Lenora Jean Wolfington was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be dearly missed. But right now she is in heaven, laughing with Jesus.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16 from 9-10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints with the funeral service to follow at 10 am with Bishop Randal Roth officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at Hurley Cemetery being officiated by Bishop Randal Roth. The Dedicatory prayer at the grave will be recited by David Carter.
