beatrice casares rsBeatrice Casares, 82, of Silver City passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

Beatrice was born on June 2, 1935 in Central, NM to Vilialdo Trujillo and Juanita Avalos. She met and married Mario Carsares and had been married for 60 years until his passing in 2016. Beatrice had worked for a time in retail sales at JC Penney and was member of Saint Francis Newman Center Parish. Much of her time had been spent at home, where she loved doing her crafting and preparing her delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. Beatrice was a "mom" to so many people, caring and always ready to help anyone who needed it. Being "mom" meant it was always family first. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Denise (Don) of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Cecil Parra; brothers, Eloy Trujillo (Beverly) of Hawaii; Albert Trujillo (Cecilia) of Silver City; Art Trujillo (Nony) of Tucson; Richard Trujillo (Rita) of Las Cruces; Bernie Trujillo (Yolanda) of Mesa, AZ and Eddie Trujillo of Las Cruces. Also surviving her are grandchildren, Brian, Amanda, and Andrea; great grandchildren, Layla, Riley, and Ari, and many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Mario Casares in 2016; parents, Vilialdo and Juanita; and two sisters, Lydia Archuleta and Emma Williams.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels. The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018 at nine-thirty in the morning at Saint Francis Newman Center Parish with the Funeral Liturgy immediately following. Beatrice will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Mario, at eleven o'clock at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Naripogula Prakasham.
