Irene H. Romero, 75, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

She was born on October 3, 1942 in Lordsburg, NM.

She is survived by her mother, Lila Holguin; four sons, Edward Romero of Albuquerque, NM, Frank Romero of Las Cruces, NM, Efren Romero (Maria) of Tucson, AZ, and Stevie Romero (Debra) of Lordsburg, NM; two daughters, Debbie Madrid of Lordsburg, and Irma Geaney (Thomas) of Sahuarita, AZ; six brothers, Henry Holguin of Tucson, AZ, George Holguin of Lordsburg, NM, Bobby Holguin (Nancy) of Las Cruces, NM, Felix Holguin (Debbie) of Las Cruces, NM, David Holguin and his fiancé, Veronica of Tucson AZ, Ray Holguin of Lordsburg, NM; seven sisters, Ramona Martinez (Raul) of Tucson, AZ, Diane Perez (Jorge) of Lordsburg, NM, Virginia Flores (Sammy) of Lordsburg, NM, Corrine Flores (Davy) of Lordsburg, NM, Veronica Mora (Joey) of Lordsburg, NM, Lila Godard (David) of Tucson, AZ, and Lucy May (David) of Lordsburg, NM; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Romero; her father, Henry Holguin; one son; Ronnie Romero; one daughter; Bonnie Romero; and one brother, Rudy Holguin.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 9-10 a.m. at Assembly of God Church in Lordsburg, NM. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Floyd Robertson officiating. Concluding service with interment at Shakespeare Cemetery in Lordsburg, NM.

Pallbearers will be Frank Romero, Efren Romero, Stevie Romero, Ruben Scott, Richard Romero, Anthony Madrid, Allen Romero, and Eddie Montano.
