Charles A. Owens, 83, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born December 22, 1934 in Pecos, TX to Isaac and Martha Staley Owens.

He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean era.

He is survived by one daughter, Chandra Heflin (Bill) of Silver City; three grandchildren, Joseph Heflin (Kimberly) of Grand Junction, CO; Jordan Heflin (Amber) of Chicago, Illinois; Jacob Heflin of Los Angeles, CA; one great granddaughter, Sterling Rose Heflin; two brothers, Bruce Owens (Nicky) of Needville, TX; Marcus Owens (Barbara) of Silver City; two sisters, Jesse Moore (John) of Durango, CO; Mary Jo Hooker of Lake Roberts, NM; sisters-in-law, Robbie and Tootie Owens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Charlene Owens, three brothers, Gene Owens, Nugget Owens, and Isaac Owens Jr., one sister, Susie Wicker; a brother-in-law, Johnny Hooker.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 24 from 9-9:30 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Father Elias officiating. Concluding service and interment with full military honors will follow at Memory Lane cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Heflin, Jordan Heflin, Jacob Heflin, Brother James, Brother Jeremy, and Brother Cajetan.
