Victor E. Palomarez, 77, a resident of Vanadium, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 24, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born March 6, 1941 in Palspur, AZ to Candelario and Amparo Echeribel Palomarez.

He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his loving wife Olga "Anita" Palomarez of the family home; two sons, Victor Palomarez Jr. (Anna Minjarez) of Deming; Juan "Johnny" Palomarez (Valerie) of Vanadium; three daughters, Olga Palomarez (Anthony Reyes) of Vanadium; Veronica Palomarez of Silver City; Pamela Grijalva (David) of Santa Clara; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Manuel Palomarez of Bayard; Lazaro Palomarez of Bayard; Jose Palomarez (Angelia) of Deming; four sisters, Olga Gonzalez (Rudy) of Safford, AZ; Betty Palomarez of Dallas, TX; Angelia Gallegos of Deming; Mary Banda of Albuquerque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Yolanda Palomarez ('81); four grandchildren, Joseph Reyes, Zachary Reyes, Joshua Herrera, and Jordana Herrera; three brothers, Pedro, Antonio, and Candelario Palomarez.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 5 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary be recited by Deacon Bill Holguin to begin at 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass will follow at 11:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Abraham Solis officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow with full military honors at Fort Bayard National Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Reyes Sr., Anthony Reyes Jr., Christopher Palomarez, Johnny Palomarez, Abel Rios, Matthew Palomarez, and Guillermo Herrera.
