Joanne Schuchardt, a Deming resident and local artist, passed away April 13 at her home.

Joanne was born January 4, 1937 in Providence, RI to Howard and Mary (Merrigan) Thorpe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Schuchardt, with whom she enjoyed 42 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children Anne, Christine, Patricia, and Dean, and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at the Deming Estates Clubhouse, 3004 9th St, Deming.
